Biography

Late Mrs. Rachael Amago (Nee Ekanem Owoh Inyang) was born intò the royal families of Late Obong Owoh Inyang Effanga (paternal) and Late Madam Anne Iquo Effio-Effanga (maternal), both of Akwa Ikot Effanga in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State in the year 1942 She was the fourth child of nine children paternally and the second child of eight children maternally. She attended Holy Child Convent School. She got married to late Chief Engineer Stephen Amago. Who loved her so much. They were blessed with five Children Rockson(late) Dorothy, Scholar, Cyril and Maureen.

She is survived by her sons,
Daughters. In-laws, grand children and grand in-laws. A great grand son Ezekiel Apugo James Onyekwere.

Recheal Gertrude Ekanem Amago was a special woman who touched many lives.
As a Dedicated Christian. – she was a strong Catholic and lived it out. She served in many leadership position in the church wherever she lived..
A Great homemaker who was never idle and ruled her house like a general. Everything she did was news worthy even in death!!

Mrs. Gertrude Ekanem Amago was a great Business woman very industrious and hard working. Added to this she was a great farmer that delighted in producing what she ate.
She was Mother of All. Ekanem was a great lover of people. She affected many live and as such was known as mum by many.

A Great Cook who loved feeding people She was known for her cooking! She loved to feed people and anyone who walked into her house had something to eat.

Gertrude Amago was a fighter! She was a cancer survivor. Who was determined to live a good live to the end. May her soul rest in Perfect peace.
